ROCK FOR CHURCH(ILL) 26. - 27. 8. 2011

The festival Rock For Church(ill) belongs this year to one of the most interesting festivals in the Czech Republic. 12 years ago it was founded to support the restoration of the baroque church of St.Jacobs in Vroutek (a village nearby) and also to support local bands. With the years it became bigger and more international, so now after 12 years it is one of the pearls in the Czech festival scene. This year are more than 5000 people expected to rock the festival. What is it, what you can expect? A festival with a big line-up, nice people and not too expensive prices (e.g. beer for 1,50Euro) - a musical paradise near the German border.

It is a festival for everybody: from rock to pop to reggae, there will be from everything something good.

One of highlights is definitely Parov Stelar band (AT) currently very popular with their live “electro-swing”. Their concerts are in whole Europe sold out, so this could be a one time opportunity. Between other highlights are definitely reggae-dub-revolutionaries Zion Train, slovanian band Elvis Jackson, rockabilly veterans Mad Sin from Berlin or legendary jamaican singer Earl16. Don´t miss also british raggajungle veteran General Levy, new project from N.O.H.A. called Circus Underground, Deadly Hunta and Temper D from United Kingdom or totally international United Flavour. Furthermore there will be many good Czech bands and also many wicked DJs on 2nd stage. For more details check lineup on the website!

Where? Vroutek is a little village in the west of Prague (90km), close to the German border (Dresden 140km). The biggest towns in the area are Podbořany, Žatec and Pilsen.

When? The festival begins on Friday, the 27th of August. The arrival is possible already on Thursday, because the program begins on Friday already at 1a.m.

Camping: Camping and parking is possible and it is for free.

Services: The festival is fully equipped. There are many tents with food and drinks and of course toilettes.

Security: Security, fire service and first aid will be there, but anyway raither don’t leave your valuables in the tent. Better save then sorry..

Tickets: Internationally you can get tickets online @ www.ticketportal.cz or out of Czech Republic via http://www.scantickets.de/veranstaltungen_detail.php?va_id=rfc11.

The ticket cost 530 Kc + fee (24 Euro) for the whole weekend. On spot the price will be 650Kc (26Euro). Single-day ticket is 400Kc (16Euro).
